Special Projects Coordinator
I was born and raised in the Midwest. I was born in Iowa, we moved to Illinois where I spent most of my childhood. I spent my high school years in Kansas. I was mainstreamed until my senior year. I graduated high school at Kansas School of the Deaf in 1991. I am proud to say that I am the lucky 10% of the population in which my family, all hearing, used sign language to communicate with me!! I went on the collage and graduated from Gallaudet University in Communication Arts. I finally broke my ties with the midwest and start a new journey in - Arizona with my best friend who had always hoped that I would move there one day!! As you know, they say, you can take me out of Kansas but you can’t take Kansas out of the girl! I am a HUGE Kansas City Chiefs fan, Kansas University basketball fan and Kansas City Royals fan!!!! Landed a job with Valley Center of the Deaf as Placement Coordinator-Case Manager, going on as employee for 15 years! This is my 3rd term as Special projects coordinator with PDWO! I love making people happy, love to plan events or parties with my friends! I love good wine and good company!
